Luxury Wedding Invitations and Stationery: Meet BluSkies Design
Lately, I've been captivated by the growing trend of luxury wedding invitations. It's become one of my favorite details to spot in wedding photo galleries—the thought and creativity brides pour into this first touchpoint for guests, offering a glimpse of the celebration to come. These invitations often leave subtle hints about the wedding day, building anticipation.
I remember when DIY wedding invites were all the rage. With the rise of online shopping, couples could easily choose a budget-friendly option with just a few clicks. But if you're someone who values every detail, like I do, there's something special about sitting down with a professional—an artist with a vision. The time and investment spent on custom invitations is well worth it, not only for your guests but for the stunning photos and as a keepsake you'll treasure forever.
A professional can guide you through every element, from perfecting the wording to setting the dress code and ensuring your guests have clear directions. It’s a level of personalization that elevates the experience for everyone involved."

Owner/Graphic Designer Chelsea Lee
What inspired you to start?
C, “Growing up, my brother and I were always heavy into graphic design. Fast forward to turning 19 years old, I began in the print world with working at my brothers sign company for many years before starting my own. Printing is in my blood, and I am drawn to all the details. I love collaborating and developing relationships with my clients.”
What is one thing that sets you apart from your competition?
C, “I love it with all of my heart, and with over 16 years in the print industry, my experience preceds the rest. I don't really see anyone else in my industry as "competition". We all have our own design style really...we all have our own relationships (for good reason), and there is enough work out there for everyone. I live by "consistency, do what you love, be passionate about it, and keep going". It has worked and paid off for me, and I intend on growing my business as much as possible.”
What is your favorite wedding trend this year?
C, “Negative Space Design.”
What made you choose this business?
C, “I'm drawn to print, color, and details. I know how to dial into a brides needs and desires. All I need is a little bit of information during a simple conversation, some photo inspo...and I'm locked in. It's effortless to me.”
What is your "why"?
C, “My three girls. I have a dream to leave them a printing business legacy. A skill that I can pass on to them and they can do it, do it well, and LOVE it - because their Mommy did, too.”
Name one time your business was rewarding?
C, “Meeting a homeowner in her Rosemary Beach home to discuss her desire to match the stationery I print for her, to the decor of her home. Being in such a beautiful space, discussing intimate details, and knowing I am printing the type of product I intend to. That is extremely rewarding to be trusted by clients in providing elevated printed product to match their overall expectations. I am honored.”
What are some trends brides are wanting the most in 2024?
C, “Branding specifically tailored to their wedding. I hone in to the brides main focus, start there, and build from there. This creates an entirely memorable "brand" and aesthetic for their intimate wedding so they can frame it in their home forever and ever :)”
How did you come up with the name of your business?
C, “Legally, I am "Palm Press Paper LLC". I started this specific company in 2020 after selling my sign company. Since then, I have rebranded to a DBA of "Bluskies Design". Honestly, I just love the outdoors. I love the sky, the water, outdoor elements. I was designing my logo to originally be "Blue Skies", but the "e" in "Blue" looked weird, so I removed it, moved the "s" in "skies" next to "u" in "Blue", and - wala! New name and logo was created.”
What question do you wish people would ask you about your business, but they never do?
C, "Do you love what you do?". I ask this constantly to people I meet. I love to hear more about how passionate they are, and if they love what they do...I can tell. I can see the growth in them if they speak from their heart. That's why I love that question - my answer will be "OF COURSE I do, and here's why!".
What are you seeing brides asking for in 2025?
C, “An entire invitation suite, multiple cards (drink request card, music request card, RSVP card, details card). All the cards! Even menu's for tables, all the details. I can talk about this for days. I genuinely believe that your Wedding Invitation Suite is setting the tone for your entire wedding. Every bride wants the best for her wedding, right?! So...express that to your guests by beginning that conversation with elevated Wedding Stationery. This is the beginning of a new chapter in your lives as a married couple. It truly does set the tone. I feel so confident in the service and produce I provide...your guests won't even be able to throw it away.”
