I am known to be quite the latte enthusiast, or just a girl who consumes over the recommended amount of caffeine to function, howevever, 30a is known for some of the best local coffee hotspots. Grabbing your favorite drink then heading to the emerald waters is just a normal routine here.
The 30A Barista has been serving this quaint community for believe it or not, less than a year. But in that short time, the buzz was growing, and it was growing fast!
A coffee experience at your home?! Wine tastings, cocktail classes, cooking classes, we have it all. But this was different, and spoke to my caffeine addicted heart.
Fast forward almost a year later and I had the pleasure of sitting down with owner, Patrick Price. Who to my disbelief had recently moved here in 2023 from Nashville to go for his coffee dreams. Newlywed and a busy dad, he wanted to build something for his growing family in their new home. He put his expertise, and entrepreneurial spirit together and went for it. With over a decade of experience working with coffee, first starting off at Starbucks as a teenager and then Restoration Hardware coffee shops, he knows a thing or two about making the perfect cup.
Imagine being a bride surrounded by your closest friends, mother, grandmother, and aunts, all preparing for the big day. Wedding day preparations often start as early as 7 AM, especially after a lively rehearsal dinner the night before. You may have indulged in one too many spicy margaritas, and the first thing on your mind in the morning is a hot or iced cup of coffee to power through the photoshoots. But who has time to fetch ten cups of coffee that morning? That's where Patrick and his team come in, easing the stress of the chaotic wedding morning by delivering freshly brewed coffee straight to your bridal suite.
In addition to his luxury in-home barista experience, he also owns Be Bold Coffee, an adorable coffee truck located across from the beach next to 30a’s best water view restaurant Shunk Gulley in Santa Rosa Beach, Fl.
“What’s next?!” I asked. Patrick had been quietly working on his own line of coffee beans, The Irie Blend, perfectly named after his daughter. He also had an exciting announcement that he had secured serving the exclusive community of Alys Beach.
